“Twelve hours a day hunched over a wheel in a van. I come in, mist the pads, twenty minutes on the sofa while tea's cooking…”

Real backs. Real working days.
Six short clips: where the pads sit, what EMS actually does, how it goes on, and the twenty minutes that slot into a normal day.

After the brace
The one I've got now does the opposite. Little pads sit here and make the muscle actually contract… I don't collapse the second I take it off anymore.
The first session
I've only used it once, but I can definitely feel it. A rhythmic pull right between the shoulder blades. Afterwards a little sore, not painful, the kind you get after actually working.
Where it works
Two pads, either side of the spine, right over the muscles a desk switches off. EMS makes them contract on cue. You just sit there.
Stand taller
A strap holds your shoulders back for you. Trained muscles learn to do it themselves, and that is the whole idea.
Sound familiar?
Phone in hand, shoulders rolled, upper back gone quiet. The two pads land exactly where that slump starts.
Ready in ten seconds
Mist the fabric pads, snap the controller on, slip it over your shoulders. No gel pads, no wires, no app.

Built for anyone whose day is spent sitting.
It never happens all at once. Your shoulders creep forward an inch at a time while you work, drive or scroll. You catch yourself in a window reflection, sit up straight, and ten minutes later you are folded over again. By 4pm there is a dull ache between your shoulder blades that you have stopped mentioning.

Eight hours with your arms forward and your head over a keyboard, and the screen always seems to pull you a little closer. You sit up after every meeting; by the next email you are folded over again. All day, the muscles between your shoulder blades sit stretched and idle.
PostureFit runs a 20-minute session while you work, on the chair you already sit in.
The kitchen table was never meant to be a desk: the laptop sits too low, the chair is too hard, and there is no commute to break up the day. You lean in, then lean in further, and nobody is there to see it.
A session fits between calls, and the controller snaps off when the doorbell goes.
Van, car or the 7.12 train: hours seated with your arms out and your head pushed towards the road or your phone. You arrive stiff before the day has started, and a stretch at the lights does not undo it.
Use PostureFit as a passenger, on the train or on your break. Never while you drive.
A strap pulls your shoulders back for as long as you wear it, and chafes under the arms by lunchtime. The muscles between your blades are not asked to do anything, so the moment it comes off you settle straight back into the same shape. Most braces are in a drawer by week three.
PostureFit asks those muscles to contract instead of holding you in place.
You do not feel it day to day; you see it. A side-on photo at a wedding, a shop window on the high street, a video call where your head sits further forward than you remember. So you start standing at the back of group shots.
Twenty quiet minutes a day at home, under a jumper, without anyone noticing.
Long sessions at a desk, a laptop on the bed, revision that runs past midnight: your head moves forward and your back follows. In your twenties it feels like nothing, which is exactly why the habit sets.
PostureFit runs while you play or study, set from a small wireless remote.
Bench, press, push-ups, repeat. The front of the body gets the attention and the upper back gets a token set of rows, so a tight chest pulls your shoulders forward and in even as you get stronger. Bigger front-on, rounder side-on.
Add a 20-minute session for the muscles between your blades on rest days.
Feeding, lifting, changing, leaning over a cot or a hospital bed: your day is spent bent forward for someone else. There is never a moment to sit up straight, and by evening the ache between your shoulders is just part of the day.
Sit down for twenty minutes at nap time or after a shift, and let PostureFit do the work.
What they all have in common
- 1Shoulders drift forward
- 2The muscles between the blades switch off
- 3A strap only holds you there
It is not a lack of willpower, and it is not your fault. The muscles that hold your shoulders back spend the whole day stretched and idle, and a muscle that is never asked to work stops switching on.
The TrapActive™ method
A brace holds the position. TrapActive™ works on the thing that holds the position: the muscle. Three steps.
Two dry fabric pads sit either side of the spine, over the rhomboids and mid-traps. Never on the spine, never on the neck. A light mist of water lets them conduct.
Gentle electrical pulses make those muscles contract on their own: the squeeze you would get from a row or a band pull-apart, without doing the movement.
Start at level 1 and step up over the weeks: 12 modes and 36 levels exist so you can progress the way any training does. One 20-minute session a day.

Twenty minutes, then you get on with your day.
The work happens while you sit. What changes is what you no longer have to do.
Twenty minutes, then it comes off. Nothing digging into your armpits by lunchtime.
Read, answer email, watch something. The muscles do the work while you sit.
The pads are dry fabric. A mist of water before each session, no gel pads to peel and replace.
No exercise sheet, no reps to count. Put it on, press a button, sit down.
From the first pulse to a habit
Training takes weeks. Here is an honest calendar, so day three does not feel like a let-down.
First session
You feel a firm, rhythmic pullBetween the shoulder blades, at level 1 or 2. A twitch, not a shock. If you feel nothing, the pads are dry: mist them again.
Week 1
You find your levelMost people step up a few levels as the sensation becomes familiar. It should feel firm, never painful.
Weeks 2–3
It becomes routineThe session moves into the evening slot where it fits: the news, a book, the inbox.
Weeks 4–6
The point to judge itMuscle adapts over weeks, not days. This is the earliest fair moment to ask whether sitting up feels easier.
What a brace cannot do

Change mode or level from the front. You never have to reach behind your own back mid-session.

Unclip it and the brace can be washed. The electronics never go near the water.

Dry conductive fabric. One spray before each session; nothing sticky, nothing to replace.

Nothing to measure. The strap fastens across your mid-back and sits directly against the skin.
“Does EMS actually do anything, and will it hurt?”
Fair question: most people have only seen EMS on late-night ab belts. The honest answer, in three parts.
Electrical muscle stimulation sends gentle pulses through pads on the skin so the muscle underneath contracts. Fitness EMS kits use it on the arms or abs; PostureFit uses it on two muscle groups between your shoulder blades, at home, at a strength you choose.
36 levels, starting at 1. The target is a firm contraction, not discomfort. A sharp or stinging feeling almost always means the pads are dry or the level is too high.
It will not reshape your spine, and it is not a substitute for a physio if you have pain or an injury. It trains muscle. We would rather say so here than have you find out.
Still unsure? UK law gives you 14 days from delivery to cancel, and unused trainers in their original packaging can come back within 30 days.
Three ways to work on your posture
Each one makes sense for someone. Here is what each really costs.
Option 1
A resistance band and a routine
a few poundsplus ten minutes of rows and pull-aparts, most days
The cheapest way to work the muscles between your shoulder blades, and it works when you do it. The catch: the routine is yours to keep up, every day, long after the first enthusiastic week. (If you have pain or an injury, see your GP first.)
Option 2
A posture brace
about £20
Cheap, instant, and a decent reminder for an hour at the desk. It holds your shoulders in place; it does not ask the muscles to do anything, so when it comes off, nothing has changed.
Option 3
PostureFit EMS
€80,95once, no pads to rebuy
Two pads on the muscles that hold your shoulders back, 12 modes and 36 levels, a wireless remote. Twenty minutes a day, sitting down.

Your questions
Will I see a difference straight away?
No, and we would rather you knew that before ordering. You will feel the contraction from the first session, but muscle adapts over weeks, not days: give it 4 to 6 weeks of one 20-minute session a day before judging it. PostureFit trains the muscles between your shoulder blades; it does not reshape your spine. If you want something that pulls you upright the minute you put it on, a £20 passive brace does that better, for as long as you wear it.
Does it hurt, or just tingle?
It should never hurt. The first few of the 36 levels feel like a tingle; further up it becomes a firm, rhythmic squeeze between the shoulder blades, like the end of a rowing rep. Start at level 1 and step up a few levels at a time. A sharp or stinging feeling almost always means the pads are dry or the level is too high: mist them again, or turn it down.
Is it safe for me?
Not for everyone, and the list is short and firm. Do not use it if you have a pacemaker or any implanted electronic device, are pregnant, have epilepsy, a heart condition or a blood clot, or over broken or irritated skin. If any of these apply, or you have pain you have not had looked at, check with your GP first. The pads sit either side of the spine and never on the neck or across the chest. PostureFit is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat anything.
Will it irritate my skin?
The pads are dry fabric, so there is no gel or adhesive to peel off. At higher levels some people see faint redness where the two pads sat, which usually fades soon after the session. Use it only on clean, unbroken skin, keep both pads evenly damp, and if redness is still there the next day, stop and check with your GP.
Will it fit me? I'm broad, or quite small.
It is one size with an adjustable strap, worn by men and women. What matters is not your size but where the pads land: either side of the spine, level with your shoulder blades, with the strap across your mid-back. If it does not fit, an unused trainer in its original packaging can come back within 30 days.
Can I wear it over a T-shirt, or under my clothes?
Over a T-shirt: no. The pads need contact with bare skin to work. Under clothes: yes. Put it on against the skin and a loose jumper or shirt goes over the top; a fitted shirt will show it.
Is it noisy?
No. There is no motor inside: the pulses are electrical, so nothing vibrates or hums. You feel them; the person next to you does not hear them.
How do I charge it?
It is rechargeable and the charging cable is in the box. Charge it fully before your first session. There is no app, no account and nothing to pair.
How do I wash it?
Snap the controller off first, then hand wash the brace and let it dry before you clip the controller back on. The electronics never go in water.
Can I use it more than once a day?
One 20-minute session a day is the recommendation. Like any training, muscle needs time to recover between sessions; more is not faster.
What if it doesn't suit me?
Free tracked delivery to UK addresses, dispatched in 1–2 working days. UK law gives you 14 days from delivery to cancel, and unused trainers in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days; return postage on a change of mind is yours. If it arrives damaged or faulty, we send a prepaid label and refund or replace it.
Is it a replacement for a physio, or just a posture brace?
Neither. If you have pain or an injury, see a GP or physiotherapist first; PostureFit does not replace one, and many people use it alongside the exercises they were given. Against a brace: a brace holds your shoulders while you wear it and does nothing for the muscles, while PostureFit makes those muscles contract for 20 minutes, then comes off.
Order it knowing exactly where you stand
No small print to decode: what UK law gives you, what we add on top, and what happens if something is wrong.
14 days to cancel
The Consumer Contracts Regulations give you 14 days from delivery to change your mind. Unused trainers in their original packaging can come back within 30 days. Return postage on a change of mind is yours.

Safety: Not a medical device and not a treatment. Don't use it if you have a pacemaker or any implanted electronic device, are pregnant, have epilepsy or a heart condition, or have broken or irritated skin where the pads sit. If any of these apply, check with your GP first.
